Star Wars - Han Solo Shortlist Of Actors Ranked

1. Emory Cohen

Seen In: Brooklyn, The Gambler, The Place Beyond The Pines Why He'd Be Great As Solo: Cohen is the wildcard in this equation, and it's for this reason that he's at the top of the list. He's recently been whipping up a critical storm, as critics have responded well to his appearance in John Crowley's adaptation of acclaimed novel Brooklyn, but beyond that you'd be hard-pressed to remember his face in films such as The Place Beyond The Pines. What has been obvious is his natural charm and completely solid acting skills (perhaps the best out of this whole bunch). As able an actor as this, with a star so quickly on the rise would be a logical choice for the most famous dashing-rogue in all of cinema, as studio heads would arguably relish the opportunity to lay claim to fully catapulting him into stardom, just like with Daisy Ridley. What Are His Chances: Through the roof. We can make solid guesses that Disney would prefer an unknown for the role, as many other more successful actors will be too recognisable as themselves to be able to convincingly portray a youthful Harrison Ford. Cohen is right on the edge of being known to the unwashed masses, much like John Boyega was when he landed the role as Finn, or Felicity Jones with her casting in this December's Star Wars: Rogue One. Cohen's name cropping up here simply fits the pattern, and when we tie that in with what we already know of his acting talent, he seems a sure bet. Which of these actors do you think should take on the DL-44 heavy blaster pistol? Is there anyone who hasn't made the cut who should have? Sound off in the comments below!
