Star Wars: Rise Of Skywalker - Everything It Gets Wrong

5. Young Leia's Flashback CGI

Hollywood have a problem with modern day CGI, in that video games have long since caught up and - in some cases - overtaken the former leader in digital entertainment.

In Rogue One's case, Grand Moff Tarkin looked notably off, and Princess Leia - whilst admittedly better - still had a ways to go when it came to convincing us her model wasn't a CG puppet.

In the new movie's case, there's an otherwise awesome flashback to young Luke and Leia sparring together, that results in a look at the pair of them as they take their blaster helmets off.

Young Mark Hamill actually looks pretty spot on. The low lighting compliments what the filmmakers are going for, and it's believable enough.

Young Leia though? It's Rogue One all over again. Simply because of the way the scene is edited, you're then panning up to the "reveal" of "young Leia", and the result is a model that looks straight out of 2017's Battlefront 2.
