Star Wars Rogue One: 10 Reasons It's Awesome

5. Chirrut Îmwe Is The Hero Fans Deserve

In terms of the hero characters (the human ones, anyway), arguably the MVP is Chirrut Imwe, played superbly by martial arts legend Donnie Yen.

Though he's unavoidably a racial stereotype (a wise, blind Asian martial artist), he makes the most of it thanks to some well-placed humour ("Are you kidding me? I'm blind!", he shouts, after having a bag placed over his head during capture), and of course, the fact that he's such a skilled warrior despite having no eyesight.

Whether he's destroying a TIE Striker with a well-placed arrow, beating Stormtroopers up with his big stick, or putting himself in harm's way for the sake of the bigger picture, he's a ton of fun to watch.
