Star Wars: Rogue One - 10 Things We Can't Wait To See

5. A Galaxy At War

Prior to the creation of a new Star Wars Canon, the Rebel Alliance always appeared to be much more organized. In the original trilogy, the Rebels looked to be more equipped to handle the Imperial war machine. Much of the conflict fans saw in the original trilogy took place on battlegrounds, not in cities among the populations.

Jump to the new galaxy and fans witness a more fragmented rebellion; a guerrilla insurrection. The Rebel Alliance consists of a disjointed number of groups loosely held together in a common cause. Imperial oppression is rampant and Rogue One will show this the fiercest on the planet Jedha.

Fans will see this war from the ground up and the impact it has on much of the galaxy. Rogue One will also show how much the galaxy has changed since the events of Revenge of the Sith and the formation of the Galactic Empire. Seeing actual Imperial oppression on a population center will further drive home the evil of the Imperial war machine and the just cause of the Rebel Alliance.
