11. How Will It Connect To The Other Movies (Apart From The Obvious)?
We already knew that this movie would be dramatising the Opening Crawl to Star Wars, and thanks to the presence of Yavin in the teaser we can place it very closely to the beginning of that movie.
Aside from that, though, we don't know how it's going to link up to the rest of the saga. Will it largely ignore the prequels, or will there be elements it directly references? Is it going to include some foreshadowing for what comes next, or even links to the The Force Awakens? And on the TV side of things, Rebels is set around the same time, and concerns, well, another bunch of rebel fighters, so could that be acknowledged?
These stories are largely 'standalone' movies, but it's directly involved in the opening of the very first movie, so there have to be some connections here, while still managing to be its own thing at the same time.
