We're introduced to a wonderful array of new characters here, with most of them seemingly on the side of the Rebels.

We've got Forest Whitaker's, erm, whatever the heck he's supposed to be - he looks like he could be a bounty hunter of some sort - delivering a monologue to Jyn. There's Donnie Yen, who seems to be playing a blind character, beating a Stormtrooper with a stick and looking very impressive doing so. Diego Luna, looking cool and mysterious, like Rogue One's equivalent of Poe Dameron. And finally we see Jiang Wen, running out into battle firing his weapon.

How do all of these fit into the story? Are they all going to be part of the mission to steal the plans? That would fit with the idea of a rag-tag group brought together for the mission, and certainly appears to the case with Luna and Wen, and probably the other two as well, though Whitaker's is a little harder to call.
