5. The Beach Planet Is The First Death Star's Endor

We got our first proper look at Rogue One's main new planet in the teaser, a world of wide, sandy beaches peppered with palm trees, offering a new first for the series; it's one of the few natural Earth landscapes we haven't seen transferred over to the Star Wars galaxy.

Unsurprisingly given how the planet seems to be the backdrop for a major climactic battle, it's confirmed in the EW feature to be acting as a home for the in-construction Death Star - it's looming on the cover and discussed in more detail in the features - which makes it something of an Endor parallel.

There's more to the new world than just that though; as this oasis is going to be the location for one of the most intense battles in the history of Star Wars movies - it's so big it's talked about in the opening crawl of A New Hope - expect some pretty striking, contrasting visuals (all with the Death Star floating in the background).
