It's been the subject of speculation for the better part of a year now, but we finally have official confirmation that Darth Vader is going to play a part in Rogue One! In the end, this reveal, which EW were needlessly coy about in the video accompanying the article, is a little like learning Jon Snow's fate on Game Of Thrones; it's a case of "yeah, and?"

Through toys, set leaks and descriptions of those reshoots, The Sith Formerly Known As Anakin Skywalker's appearance had felt like a certainty already, although I will say that hearing it from the bantha's mouth still feels good. I do wonder how they're going to handle the reveal of Boba Fett though (oh, yeah, Boba Fett's also in this).

James Earl Jones is once again voicing the character, his fifth movie, but the looming figure will reportedly be played by multiple different actors. EW doesn't say who, but this is hardly surprising; after all, that was true of the original trilogy - David Prowse is credited as being in the suit, but in the more complex fight scenes in the sequels it was stunt swordfighter Bob Anderson. And that in itself is a strong promise of some great Vader action.
