Star Wars Rogue One: 37 Easter Eggs & References You Must See
28. Eadu = LV-426
Gareth Edwards admitted ahead of Rogue One's release that he attempted to include nods to films such as The Thin Red Line, Blade Runner and THX 1138 in the movie.
His affection for Ridley Scott in particular is obvious when we see the planet Eadu, which many fans have noted for bearing an uncanny resemblance to LV-426, the moon on which the Xenormorphs are first introduced in Alien, and on which James Cameron's sequel Aliens is set.
With the fact that both celestial bodies consist mostly of craggy rocks and a distinctly blue hue throughout, it's tough to dismiss this as a total coincidence given Edwards' love for Scott.
