One of the original plans for The Empire Strikes Back was to have Darth Vader residing in a large, opulent castle, to the extent that George Lucas even had iconic artist Ralph McQuarrie draw up several designs for it.

Though Vader's homestead didn't make it into Empire, it finally appears on-screen in Rogue One to the delight of fanboys everywhere, when Orson Krennic arrives there to discuss the Death Star.

It was later confirmed on Twitter by Pablo Hidalgo that the scene in fact took place on Mustafar, the very planet where Vader was initially wounded, making it that much more fascinating and grim.
