Star Wars Rogue One: 37 Easter Eggs & References You Must See

It was confirmed during London's Star Wars Celebration this past summer that Episode VIII director Rian Johnson and producer Ram Bergman would have cameos in Rogue One as two Death Star technicians.

Johnson said of the part, "My producer Ram and I – we chose wisely. We chose the two dudes that we knew would be in the movie. They can’t cut us out because we’re the two dudes in the firing chamber on the Death Star who pull the levers."

Johnson also confirmed that he would be returning the favour by including Edwards in cameo form in Episode VIII.
