Star Wars: Rogue One New Trailer Breakdown - 29 Things You Need To See

4. Giacchino’s Score

Ok, not exactly something to see here, but rather something to hear.

Alexandre Desplat was originally supposed to be scoring Rogue One, but recently left the project due to scheduling conflicts and was replaced by Michael Giacchino (not exactly a downgrade to be fair). After working on the likes of Up, Zootopia, and upcoming Dr Strange, he's quickly working his way through the Disney bingo card (he even appeared in The Force Awakens as a Stormtrooper).

It seems like we're hearing some of his music here, and there's certain;y an epic, sweeping feel to the score, carrying the necessary bombast to accompany the action scenes, while there's also some quiet, fast-paced music close to the start which gives things a real sense of urgency.
