Star Wars: Rogue One - Predicting Who Lives And Who Dies

Why She Could Live: Jyn Erso is Rogue One's protagonist - she's not only leading the team on the mission, but has an essential personal involvement thanks to her father - which is pretty much that all needs to be said in her favour. Although movies thrive off of threat to our heroes, the frontman rarely bites it.

Why She Could Die: We've not seen anything of Jyn after the events of Rogue One, so it certainly fits for the plucky Rebel who helped the Alliance win their first victory to die rather than take up early retirement. It's important to reassert at this point that the big reason characters usually stay alive - sequels - doesn't apply here, because the film's sequel is Star Wars (and a Rogue Two would include Bothans).

Prediction: Ultimately, she is still the main character of a major Hollywood blockbuster, and as such is probably the safest bet for survival. Live.
