Why He Could Live: Cassian Andor, the badge-toting Rebel who joins Jyn's team, looks set to be the movie's secondary lead, and convention dictates that's a pretty safe place to be. It would also work as a nice underlining of the film's look at wartime rebellion; we know the Alliance go on to succeed, so his survival would be a representation of that.

Why He Could Die: However, that whole dissection of rebellion may work against Cassian. He's an old guard Rebel, and Rogue One looks to be the point where Mon Mothma, Bail Organa and co. realise they have to go on the offensive. If Jyn is going to show them that way, it really only works if Andor fails somehow.

Prediction: Cassian's certainly the hardest to call, with a role that borders on two different archetypes. I'm going to say he won't die simply because there's been too much collateral damage so far and the thematic impact of him surviving is more interesting.
