Star Wars: Rogue One - Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

8. Baze Malbus

Rogue One Character Ranking
Lucasfilm

Jiang Weng's Baze forms half of Rogue One's brilliant double-act, the Guardians of Whilis (nice Easter egg there), alongside Donnie Yen's Chirrut.

While he's more of a straight-man to to Yen's Force-believer (the Threepio to his Artoo, sort of), he's still a superb presence throughout, both on his own and with his buddy.

He's a total badass, for a start. Having lost his faith, he's now an incredibly pragmatic assassin, and a brilliant job with his heavy repeater cannon. He gets a pretty solid arc too, going from the non-believer regaining a sense of that spirituality, showcases his incredible bravery, and is loyal to Chirrut to the point of getting himself killed.
