Star Wars: Rogue One - Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best
5. Bodhi Rook
Riz Ahmed is a serious talent, as he's also shown on the small screen this year in The Night Of. So it's fitting he gets one of the strongest characters in Rogue One, which makes the most of his ability to play sympathetic characters, and gets to use his incredibly expressive face to good effect.
A defecting Imperial pilot, he's dragged terrified to Saw Gerrera, which leads to some really nice comedic beats and one-liners. However, his arc pushes him above comic relief, as he gradually overcomes his fears and becomes a real hero. Without him, they'd never have even known about the plans for the Death Star, and certainly wouldn't have succeeded. He's undoubtedly important, but it helps that he's so damn likeable too.
