Star Wars: Rogue One Trailer - 10 Things We Want To See

9. The Movie's Tone

This isn't going to be your typical Star Wars film, that much is clear. The trilogies, while not afraid to take some dark turns, have generally been quite light, and had a lot of fun moments, whether it's the swooping action, the frenetic lightsaber fights, or just the characters interacting.

With the Jedi not in play in this movie, and it being billed as much more of a war film, then it's safe to expect a tone that's a lot darker than what we've seen before, a film that isn't afraid to get down to the dirty, gritty aspects of battle and show it off in much more brutal fashion than we're used to in a galaxy far, far away.

Naturally, for purposes of making it accessible to a wider audience, it won't go too far in that direction, but this isn't going to be the norm, and that should be established right from the first trailer.
