9. There's A Definite French Resistance Tone

Going back to that explosion - it's only visible for a matter of nano-seconds, but it's very obvious that the fireworks are orchestrated from above where Jyn and Diego Luna's characters are presumably fighting the stormtroopers.

This immediately feels like Luke being rescued from the sand people - a mysterious helper watching from the distance and stepping in to save the hero. Whether that's the case in the final film or not, that's certainly the feeling from the trailer.

Could this be Jyn and Luna's character seeking recruits to join them on their suicide mission? Following leads that will ultimately bring them to the attention of an old bounty hunter, a blind Ip Man and whoever Riz Ahmed is playing? That sounds like a very Star Wars way to approach the necessary teaming up sequence of a heist movie.
