8. Alan Tudyk Is Playing A Repurposed Droid

Along with Ahmed and Mads Mikklesen's villain, one of the key unseen characters in the trailer is the droid played by Firefly's Alan Tudyk.

Thanks to the rumour mill, we half-knew that he was set to play a former Imperial droid who had been repurposed by the Rebellion to use against his former masters. He's seen in a couple of flashes in the trailer, giving off a Terminator/Lost In Space vibe.

So, who does the droid belong to? Did Jyn repurpose it - is that why she's seen as such a valuable asset by the Rebellion despite her past criminal misdemeanors? It would certainly fit with the techy skills of Luke, Anakin and Rey - and you know, it rhymes...
