Star Wars: The Best Moment From Every Movie, Ranked

4. A New Padawan - Star Wars: The Clone Wars

As a film, The Clone Wars is the most forgettable and least fleshed-out of the Star Wars movies, made more as a feature-length pilot to the upcoming same-titled TV show than a serious addition to the franchise's big screen endeavours.

That being said, it does feature one of the most pivotal and moving scenes of the Skywalker Saga, as Anakin learns he's been offered a Jedi Padawan, a shocking revelation which puts the famously hot-headed Jedi into the shoes of a mentor.

The Padawan in question is, of course, Ahsoka Tano, who doesn't gel with Anakin at first but, in the film's highlight, is accepted as his protégé with some touching words: "You never would have made it as Obi-Wan's Padawan. But you might make it as mine."

An unexpected but important addition to Anakin's tragic story, his bond with Ahsoka would go from strength to strength (and heartbreak to heartbreak) within The Clone Wars show, but it was rarely as fascinating as it was in this short exchange, when Anakin sets aside his ego and decides to let her in.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
