Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 - 10 Ways It's The REAL Conclusion To The Skywalker Saga

8. ...As Does Ahsoka

Clone Wars Season 7 Ahsoka
Lucasfilm

Ahsoka Tano was the Jedi we never knew we needed until we met her.

Never mentioned in any of the films, Ahsoka was revealed to be Anakin's apprentice during The Clone Wars. Fierce, independent and strong-willed, she became a popular character on the show and a feminist icon within the Star Wars universe. Her relationship with her master was one of the strongest points of the series, as she mirrored Anakin's uncertainty and doubt in the Jedi Order.

After she left the Jedi Order in the Clone Wars' penultimate season, fans didn't see the character again until Star Wars: Rebels, when she is significantly older and an established leader in the rebellion. So, like Maul, there is a gap in her timeline. The Ahsoka novel went some way in explaining what happened to the character following Order 66, but Season 7 should be able to go into greater detail.

It's also great to see Ahsoka at least one final time, as fans were yet again disappointed with TROS after her voice was heard calling out to Rey, only for an actual onscreen role to never materialise.
