Trailers for the new series of The Clone Wars have seen a version of Anakin most closely resembling his character in Episode III, and he comes across as much more aggressive and impatient than we have seen in previous seasons.

One of the strong points of the show was always exploring Anakin's fall to the dark side in much more detail. While the prequel trilogy was criticised for not focusing on this enough, the Clone Wars series was able to expand on this greatly, and Anakin becomes much more sympathetic when we see some of the questionable decisions the Jedi made, such as when they excluded Ahsoka from the Order, even though she'd been framed.

Season 7 will come full circle on Anakin's conflict with the Jedi, and it will be fascinating to see how it ties into Revenge of the Sith.
