9. Who Is Rey Waiting For?
One of the big teasing lines in this trailer - and indeed one of the most deliberately teasing lines we've seen in the promo footage for The Force Awakens - comes here from Rey: "I know all about waiting. For my family..." Wait, what?! This heavily suggests that Rey has been left by her family on Jakku, with the promise that they would one day return for her. Is that the case here, and if so exactly who is her family? There's been a lot of speculation about Rey's surname, and familial ties to the original trio, and this is a definite hint towards that. Unless she's just been alone so long that she wants to find some sort of family, or discover where she's from, and it's done in a very clever way to get us all theorising?
