Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Fan-Favourite Lines That Will Definitely Return

1. €œMay The Force Be With You€

Past Uses: 13 times so far. Who Should Say It: Luke Skywalker The grand-daddy of all Star Wars quotes. It's basically the equivalent of saying goodbye respectfully, and while Jedis and users of the Force are in limited numbers after they were mostly all culled or ran off into the farthest reaches of the universe, its use isn't limited entirely to Jedis. After all, Admiral Akbar said "May the Force be with us". It's best to consider the line as a cultural phenomenon in its own right: it transcends context (in the same way "To Infinity And Beyond", or "Great Scott!" do) and was a meme long before the Internet even existed properly. To ignore its continued relevance and not adapt it into the new trilogy (and the Anthology films) would be like chopping a limb off. There is some suggestion that The Force Awakens is going to chart the evolution of the younger generation of characters into Force users, and in fairly cliched terms, having that be signified by someone saying it to them at the start, and them saying it themselves at the end would signify a passed torch perfectly. It's not exactly subtle, but it's part of the lore. Which other lines do you want to see revived in The Force Awakens? Share your favourites below in the comments thread.
