2. Someone Is Definitely Going To Die

The entire arc of the trailers so far has set up an almighty downer ending for The Force Awakens, and you have to suspect at least one big character is going to die. The chiming bells of doom are definitely ringing. If you're looking for a definitive answer on who might be the one to bite the dust, consider Maz Kanata's line at the end of the trailer: "Hope is not lost today, it is found." That would fit with the symbolic status of Luke Skywalker as "A New Hope" and the line gets added power is you assume they're discussing his loss. But then perhaps this is Kanata's way of confirming that Luke is actually alive, after he has been long assumed to be dead? Anyway, given that this is the start of a trilogy that will build to a crescendo that has already been planned out, you have to imagine that the Empire emerges mostly victorious to get the blood flowing for Episode VIII. And even if someone doesn't die (there is a distinct possibility, since this is still Disney we're talking about here), the
