4. Jedi Origins

The Jedi are first introduced in 1977 during the events Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope; described as an order of warrior monks who serve as "the guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy" and embrace the mystical Force. It is revealed that in the past 20 years, the evil Galactic Empire has been hunting down and eradicating the remaining Jedi, until there are less than a handful left. As the films progressed they introduced various Jedi Knights and Masters and how they learned to control the Force which enabled them to complete amazing feats. What they didn't explore though, was HOW the Jedi came to be. How did Force sensitives first recognize their power and organize into the Jedi Knights of latter day? Who was the first and how did the order grow to such massive proportions during the height of their power? Exploring the background of the Jedi and how they began and evolved is something many Star Wars fans would jump right on board with.
