Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Things Everybody Missed In The Final Trailer

2. We May Have Seen The Weapon In Action

That's not all in this shot though (it's the First Order Assembly equivalent of this trailer, with so much rammed in I could probably do an article just on these three seconds) - there's also not one, but two command-style structures in the shot; one built into the mountain on the far side of the trench and the other in the bottom-right foreground as all the ships fly past. These structures could be glimpsed in the background of the wide shot of the First Order in that Korean TV Spot from a couple of months back, but the final trailer not only gives a better look at what they are, but reveals there's more than just one near the centre of command, possibly along the whole length of the planet-sized weapon. So what do we learn from the glimpse here? These appear to be in at least some form defence, with rafts of lasers clearly installed on the near base. It's really hard to tell given the distance here and the lighting in that shot, but this may be where we saw that chilling zoom on Kylo Ren with a bright red laser lens flaring in the background (assuming it isn't the bridge of a Star Destroyer). If that is the case, then we've actually seen the weapon something in action. Now that's pretty massive.
