Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 10 Things You Need To Know
5. The Millennium Falcon's New Pilot
One of the most interesting (and hopefully true) rumours about Star Wars: The Force Awakens is that Han Solo and Chewbacca will be piloting a Super Star Destroyer. That's quite the upgrade from the Millennium Falcon, and the giant spaceship is likely going to be serving as a mobile base for the Rebellion. Where's their old ship? According to a more recent report, it's being kept in a junk yard on Jakku, possibly undergoing repairs or just being kept hidden (recently revealed LEGO sets which include Finn, Rey, the Falcon, and characters named "Tasu Leech" and "Kanjiklub Gang Member" appear to confirm this). It's there that Finn and Rey steal the ship, alerting Han and Chewie, and setting the characters on a collision course. When they do finally meet, it's thought that Han recognises Luke's old lighsaber and the hunt for the missing Jedi begins. Those rumoured story points leave a lot of unanswered questions, but it's widely believed that Poe Dameron ultimately ends up piloting the Millennium Falcon. How he ends up in control of the iconic spaceship isn't clear, but there are some very worrying rumours out there which indicate that Han isn't going to make it out of The Force Awakens alive and gives the ship to Poe in his final moments after being taken out by Kylo Ren. That would certainly be an effective way of passing the torch from the old cast to the new, but it's also a moment which would lead to millions of voices suddenly crying out in terror...
