4. Jedi Vs Sith
While the story won't be wholly different to what we've seen before, and follow very similar thematic strands, there is one big element that's going to be missing: the battle of Jedi and Sith. Darths Maul, Sidious, and Vader. Mace Windu, Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, Obi-Wan again, Luke Skywalker. Throughout every film, the idea of good vs evil has been encapsulated in at least one lightsaber duel between Sith and Jedi, the Dark Side versus the Light. While this film will be utilising both sides of the Force, it does seem as though there'll be no such battle in this one. Luke Skywalker, as it stands, is the only known Jedi, while it's long been confirmed that Kylo Ren isn't a Sith. There will be at least one lightsaber fight in this movie, and it may show us a Jedi (new or old), but so far it's looking like there will be no Jedi v Sith battle in this one.
