It seems like an obvious place to start, but in the build-up to the big midnight showing, all I could think about was that opening blast. Two words, a scattering of static stars, and one mighty noise was all it took to set the neck hairs of everyone in the cinema on end, and you could sense that not a single person was blinking for a solid minute as the words scrolled out of sight. "Luke Skywalker has disappeared." There's no beating around the bush, the original star has vanished. That's the overarching theme, but the crawl does far more than just tease the (second) return of the Jedi; we're walked step-by-step through a rough idea of what's gone down since the Death Star 2.0 followed in the footsteps of its predecessor. In addition, the crawl looks sensational in 3D, and it was the perfect way to kick start proceedings.
