There's been a lot of very interesting reveals about Star Wars: The Force Awakens since it was released, but pretty much no one involved with the production is talking about Luke Skywalker. Amazingly, we know as little about him now as we did two years ago, and it's clear that Lucasfilm are holding off on any major reveals until the release of Episode VIII (a smart way to build anticipation for the sequel). Of course, there was a lot we could infer from Luke's appearance at the end of the movie, though his facial expressions have led to a lot of debates among fans about how he felt to see Rey show up with his lightsaber. The script says that there's, "A kindness in his eyes, but there's something tortured, too. He doesn't need to ask her who she is, or what she is doing here. His look says it all." As for his reaction to seeing that old weapon of his, it continues: "HOLD ON LUKE SKYWALKER'S INCREDIBLE FACE, amazed and conflicted at what he sees, as our MUSIC BUILDS, the promise of an adventure, just beginning..." And with that, it ends! It's clear now that Luke isn't going to reject Rey's plea for help, though he's obviously going to have some mixed feelings about ending his isolation. Will the news of Han's death be what spurs him into action? Like Leia, he no doubt felt that happen through the Force, but it's still going to be amazing to see where things go from here now that the Jedi Master has made his return!
