Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Incredible New Set Photos You Need To See

7. Jakku

Many of the scenes set on Jakku were shot at the very start of Star Wars: The Force Awakens' production, and set photos from the Rub' al Khali desert in Abu Dhabi actually gave us our first glimpse at the AT-AT's foot that Rey calls home in the movie. In this beautiful shot from that location, we see a figure who is possibly director J.J. Abrams seemingly carrying out some repairs on the droid before or after a gruelling day's shooting. There's something about this photo which just makes it hard to look away; it's a shot which immediately brings back memories of images we've seen from when both A New Hope and The Phantom Menace were shooting scenes set on Tatooine in Tunisia. Whether or not this trilogy will return to Jakku remains to be seen, but the newly introduced planet has certainly made an impact on the Star Wars galaxy.
