I have to confess that of all the images here, this is the one which surprised me the most. For some reason, I had assumed that the epic lighstaber duel first between Kyko Ren and Finn and later between the villain and a vengeful Rey had been shot in a real life location, but this photo confirms that it was just one of many convincing sets built by the Star Wars: The Force Awakens crew in Pinewood. It's also interesting to note that there's not so much a single green screen in sight here, a vast difference to the kind of behind the scenes images we got from the Star Wars prequels. The lightsabers being used are also not the green sticks (later enhanced by CGI) which the cast of the prequels wielded - these are actually glowing red and blue, giving director J.J. Abrams more realistic lighting effects for this sequence. What did you make of these images? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
