Star Wars: The Force Awakens - 8 Scenes The Movie Desperately Needed

1. Post-Credits Scene: Captain Phasma In The Trash Compactor

Captain Phasma was generally considered by fans to be one of the weakest elements of The Force Awakens; hyped up in the marketing campaign, she turned out to be a dull and uninteresting addition who brought absolutely nothing to the table. The Boba Fett-esque "Chrome Stormtrooper" didn't even wind up getting a single badass moment - and towards the end of the movie, she's captured by Han and Finn and thrown into the Trash Compactor on Starkiller Base (in an unsubtle nod to A New Hope). That's the last that we see of her, though Kathleen Kennedy has stated she'll be back in Episode VIII - presumably with a lot more to do. Thing is, J.J. Abrams missed the opportunity to actually show Phasma in the Trash Compactor in what could have been an amusing scene. Can you imagine it playing out post-credits, even? Phasma stuck in a similarly-styled Trash Compactor to the one in New Hope, with that tentacle monster looming in the water? Not only would this been a fun addition to the film, but it could have given Phasma the moment she needed - especially as she blasts the beast and escapes before the base explodes into a zillion pieces. And it would have given fans something to talk about. Like this article? What do you make of these suggestions? Got any more additional scenes to add to the Episode VII?
