Even more BB-8! People have kinda just accepted her as a part of the film, but because there's no actor required it's not been made fully clear just quite how big her role is. Based on this trailer, however, it looks massive. As for what we're actually seeing, this could either be a continuation of the previous shot, with Rey and Finn just out of frame or, because of the lower light, something happening at a different time.
