16. TIE Fighters Close In

WOW! Star Wars: The Force Awakens is going to have some seriously beautiful cinematography. We've had tastes of this throughout the previous trailers, with J.J. clearly inserting some more style into the saga's traditionally classical approach to filming, but some of this beats even the highest expectations. A fleet of TIE Fighters approach the camera in silhouette with Jakku's sun massive in the background, making an imposing threat even more scary. This is pretty much definitely what BB-8 was looking in the previous shot, which only amps up the danger our heroes are in. Why they're here, however, and the whole point of the First Order assault on Jakku, hasn't been alluded to - are they just hunting Finn, or is there something more to it?
