Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Power Ranking Every Character

12. General Hux

Without Domhnall Gleeson's accidentally flappy tongue, we probably wouldn't know a single thing about his Empire character. As it stands, the information released amounts to his name and how high he wears his belt, thanks to the solitary image that's been released. Quite where he lands on the power scale probably depends on which rumour you believe about him. If he's simply an Empire stooge who fills in for Kylo Ren when he's off on ground missions, he's going to come in low, but at the other end of the scale if he turns out to be some sort of Sith sleeper agent, or even a Tarkin child, he has the potential to be something of a wildcard. Right now, it's probably safest to assume that he's not going to have too much of a major role in The Force Awakens. He will likely be this generation's Grand Moff Tarkin, but the Empire is significantly depowered and tacticians have a habit of fading into the background when they have to compete with magical Force wizards, shady and shiny Empire killers like Captain Phasma for attention. He might well be a dark horse (remember, Star Wars have a habit of slow-building complex villain ploys that take a while to unravel properly), but there's nothing concrete so far that suggests his power is any more than point and click with the Empire's troops.
