Star Wars: The Force Awakens - Power Ranking Every Character
5. Leia Organa Solo
It might get forgotten a little, but Leia comes from the same strong Force heritage as her brother, and while the expanded universe that saw her evolution from politician into skilled Jedi has now been wiped out, the reasons for that arc still exist. Even if this version of Leia hasn't spent any of the last thirty years developing her own powers, or being trained by her brother, she still has the potential to become a Jedi. And on top of that, she's a skilled pilot, a very able shooter and a military leader of some clout. In other words, she's a bad-ass. It's unlikely we'll see Leia as a fully fledged Jedi (her clothing alone seems to confirm as much), and there's a distinct possibility that it is her concern for the dark potential of the Force that leads to the mythologising of Jedis. They've passed into legend already, and it wouldn't be at all surprising if Leia (and Luke's) concern for their children that leads to a conscious suppression of the Force. That doesn't compromise her power ranking however, as the film will probably be as much about her accepting her own links to the Force as it is Rey's, Kylo Ren's (and possibly Finn's).
