Star Wars: The High Republic - 10 Things The New Saga Must Include

9. New Worlds And Races

While there are many worlds that we have still yet to fully explore, and it is always a good Easter egg to see a Star Wars film go back to familiar planets for just a moment, Star Wars should really be about exploring new worlds and not revisiting old ones.

It doesn't matter how different you make each desert, ice, or forest world in each new entry, or what colourful inhabitants are added into the picture to then be barely explored and understood, the nostalgia for visiting similar environments can only go so far. There should be far more variety in a galaxy that numbers in the millions of worlds in just the known regions.

What's more, the last time we saw a non-human character really have a major influence on a Star Wars film was in The Phantom Menace with Jar Jar Binks, and whilst many will argue that it's a damn good thing we haven't had any since, films like Guardians of The Galaxy are proof that casts of non-human characters can be just as engaging as traditional ones.

Sam Ring hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
