Star Wars: The High Republic - Everything We Know So Far

4. What Scares The Jedi?

Part of the official reveal of the High Republic was the frustratingly cryptic question "What scares the Jedi?"

Apart from the obvious answer that fear is the path to the Dark side, so nothing should technically "scare" a Jedi, speculation has once again been at fever pitch among the fans as to exactly what this could mean.

Going back to the previous entry, it is not beyond the realms of possibility to imagine that losing their ability to protect the galaxy's oppressed and innocent, being unable to reach the chaotic and lawless fringes of the galaxy is what would cause the greatest fear in a Jedi.

Enter the Nihil.

If the Jedi Order truly are suffering a debilitating crisis in the High Republic narrative, then the timing could not be worse for a band of merciless mercenaries to employ their own unique brand of chaos across a hapless and ill-prepared galaxy.

Jedi, soldier, politician, and citizen alike are equally at the mercy if this diabolical invading force.

"You can't take it with you, but we can take it from you" is the refrain of the Nihil; a chilling motto at the best of times, but exponentially more terrifying in a galaxy with a floundering Jedi order.
