6. Finn Really Is A Big Deal In The Resistance
When Finn said he was a "big deal in the Resistance" in The Force Awakens, it was initially seen as a lie. Turns out, however, that he was just predicting the future, because in The Last Jedi he actually will be a big deal among the galaxy's new heroes.
John Boyega explains that the story of Finn and Rey taking down Kylo Ren and Starkiller Base has spread through space, and now "He’s a hero to people like Rose, who fight for the Resistance because their homes have been destroyed by the First Order.”
Kelly Marie Tran, who plays Rose, confirms she sees Finn as a big deal. Rose herself though is, according to Tran, a "nobody", and completely starstruck by Finn. The former Stormtrooper is trying to escape the war, but Rose's adoration gives him pause for thought, and obviously he ends up sticking around and the pair go on a mission together, attempting to infiltrate Canto Bight.
Of course, Finn isn't the only big deal in the Resistance. Although there's not much about him in the coverage yet, Tran does saying "Poe Dameron is super cool", and we get an image of Oscar Isaac looking just that:
