Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 15 Biggest Questions We Need Answers To

14. How Is Captain Phasma Back?

Captain Phasma was a frustrating character of chrome-plated wasted potential in The Force Awakens. While she looked ridiculously cool, and had Game of Thrones' Gwendoline Christie in the suit, the character actually had very little to do.

Her biggest moment was being overcome by Han, Chewie, and Finn, and - in a callback to A New Hope - stuffed in Starkiller Base's trash compactor. That was the last we saw of her, before the planet was destroyed.

That should've been the end of her but, somehow, the character will be back in The Last Jedi. How the hell did she manage to get out of the compactor and off Starkiller Base in time?

There's also the matter of whether we might see the character without the helmet on. Christie was photographed in costume but sans helmet for Vanity Fair's big cover shoot, and a point was clearly made about showing that it was a human in that outfit. Is that something the film itself is going to explore?
