21. How Long Did Rey Stand There For?

The opening of the movie - including the crawl - establishes that enough time has passed between The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi for the First Order to start moving on key military positions, and we see a whole battle realised on screen. There's also the revelation that Finn has fully recovered from his injuries, which presumably would have also taken a little while.

And yet, when we return to Ahch-To, we find Rey still standing in exactly the same spot, still holding the lightsaber out to Luke, as if she's simply been standing there for days while the story around the rest of the galaxy plays out.

Now, this is clearly not chronological, but there is absolutely no indication of the passage of time that would have confirmed easily that Rey has been on the planet for a little while. It's just sloppy story-telling.
