As with every Star Wars episode, The Last Jedi opens with a crawl, and in his commentary, Johnson reveals that it was actually the very first thing he sat down and started writing when he came to do the first draft of the movie.

Despite that, it was actually the very last thing that he finished, which wasn't until the last possible second before the edit had to be locked as they were still making tweaks to the exact wording and grammar.
