Star Wars: The Last Jedi - 6 Details About Del Toro's Character You Aren't Supposed To Know

5. His Look

Snatch Benicio Del Toro
Screen Gems

We've previously heard Del Toro's DJ described as a typical man in black type, clean-shaven with hair comparable in length to Poe Dameron's. Now MakingStarWars have much more specific detail about his outfit...

"He wears all black. He has a trench coat on with a Han Solo-style belt at his waist to hold his blaster... He also has a strange cap that doesn’t have a bill to it. He looks slimy and dirty but the bill-less cap makes him look sort of like a throwback to a different era. He belongs in the criminal underworld by the looks of him."

That's interesting considering we were introduced to Del Toro's casting with the news that he was to play a villain.

They also say his style has some visual reference points - as well as the Solo blaster holster...

"His trench coat reminds me of Anakin’s Revenge of the Sith costume in that its lapels evoke a tabard look and its black leather."
