It's clear from the trailers that Luke and Rey will eventually leave Ahch-To, but how they will part ways is still a mystery. The mentor has been glimpsed on board the Millennium Falcon in a recent teaser, while the student is destined to cross paths with Kylo Ren and Snoke later in the movie.

This leads to the question of how they part ways, and the most likely answer appears to be 'on bad terms'. The preview footage seems to confirm that Luke is reluctant to continue training Rey because of the "raw" and dangerous Force abilities she exhibits.

"I've seen this raw strength only once before..." Skywalker says, a reference to his botched attempt to train his nephew Kylo Ren in the ways of the Jedi.

Desperate to find "her place in all of this", all of the signs point to Rey leaving Ahch-To of her own accord to seek out her destiny, but is that shot of Luke on the Millennium Falcon confirmation that he goes after her?
