10. A Feel For The Tone

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hued very closely to the original Star Wars, not just in terms of plot (though it did hit those same beats), but in tone and spirit as well. While it did have its darker moments, it was largely a fun film that rollicked along at a rapid pace.

The Last Jedi, however, will be heading into a different direction. There's been the inevitable talk about it being 'like Empire', which is movie shorthand for a sequel going darker, and that indeed may be the case. There've also been allusions to it feeling more like an independent film too.

Whatever the direction it's going in, whether that's a lot darker or super weird or something else entirely, it'd be good to get a real feel for the movie in the first teaser.
