When Richard E. Grant was announced as being in The Rise of Skywalker, the natural assumption was that he'd be playing a villain, likely within the ranks of the First Order. Look at those features - how could he not be?

The new details confirm that is indeed the case, with Grant looking VERY Peter Cushing in the black uniform of the First Order. If they ever need Tarkin again, he should be their man.

He's not Tarkin here though. Nor is he the father of Domhnall Gleeson's General Hux, as had been speculated. Instead, he's playing a character by the name of Allegiant General Pryde, and is described as being a "First Order leader" alongside Hux. With Kylo Ren making himself Supreme Leader, it's likely we'll see these two attempting to run things under him.
