Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker - 9 Major Things Revealed By Vanity Fair

4. Rey And Kylo's Force Connection

Rey and Kylo Ren's Force connection was one of the biggest new powers on display in The Last Jedi, with the pair being joined seemingly through Snoke, although the connection exists even after his death. That suggests it was the Force itself that joined them, with Snoke merely exploiting it, and they're going to be further connected in The Rise of the Skywalker.

According to VF, that connection will turn out to run deeper than they previously revealed. Adam Driver speaks to the publication about Kylo Ren's isolation, and that he is still questioning his relationship with Rey and whether that door has been shut for good, whereas it's noted that Rey, at least to begin with, "is less inclined to believe that Kylo potentially could redeem himself.”

The duo are also highlighted in the midst of another lightsaber duel, this time surrounded by water. Given what we saw in the teaser, could be this amidst the ruins of the second Death Star? Or could this be a part of their Force connection too? It could be a part of this story from Making Star Wars (potential spoilers, hence not going into detail here.
