21. Chewbacca The Prisoner

The Pasana sequence ends with Chewie being taken prisoner by the First Order - after an hilariously unconvincing death fake-out, that is.

This is hardly the first time we've seen Chewie in chains, though, with A New Hope having Chewie play out the part of prisoner in order for the heroes to infiltrate the Death Star.

The same trick was then repeated in Return of the Jedi, with Leia taking Chewie as a faux prisoner to get into Jabba's palace, and then in last year's Solo: A Star Wars Story, we see Chewie once again playing prisoner during the Kessel run.

The irony, then, is that Chewie is finally a genuine prisoner in The Rise of Skywalker, even if only for a few moments before being rescued.
